Hi. TGIW. Today's Wonderful Wednesday has a very useful, carpet-saving tip I learned over the weekend, plus a website that will make you laugh out loud.
* SALT- not only does salt taste good it can be very useful in a previously unknown way. We had a lil' BBQ on Saturday and near the end of the night someone spilled RED sangria on to our light gray carpet. PANIC! Yes. But alas, our new smartypants-newly-arrived-in-the-U.S. French friend Alex asked me to give him the salt. He immediately poured it on to the spill (which was rather large) and then scrubbed that area with a wet towel. And you know what, it's as good as new. It's actually cleaner than the rest of our carpet. Hmm... So next time you have a spill with dark colored liquids on your light carpet throw on handfuls of salt!
*Cake Wrecks- I LOVE this website. It cracks me up! It showcases cakes that have gone horribly wrong. For example...
